I’m thrilled to report I've received a 2021 National Endowment for the Arts literary translation grant
to support the translation of Gabriela Alemán's latest novel, HUMO (SMOKE). Set in Paraguay from the 1930s to the present, the novel is, its author says, a combination of the historical and the gothic.
